9. Idul Adha

Idul Adha is one of Islam’s celebration days. The people pray in the mosque. After pray the people still sit in the room and listen to Khotbah. Khotbah is explanation about Islam, what the people should do in the world as a good muslim, how to pray well, what is allow in Islam or not allow, etc. And the most explanation about Ibrahim with his kid Ismail.



So the history is, Ibrahim didn’t have a kid in long time after he got married, so he and his wife do want to have a kid. Until in one day they got Ismail. Ibrahim and his wife really loved their kid Ismail but in a night Ibrahim dreamt that Allah SWT asked him to slice Ismail’s neck. So as a good Moslim who do love Allah SWT Ibrahim do it sincerely with agreement of his wife and also Ismail. But suddenly Ismail change with a goat. Ismail is beside of his father, so Ibrahim just slice the goat. So that’s why after pray the people do sacrifiseing.



Well there is organization in every mosque, and in that organization they are people. They are called Ta’mirul Masjid and all of them are man. So after pray the ta’mirul masjid will work together in acrificeing the cow or goat.
Process of sacrifiseing the cow or goat is, the ta’mirul have prepare the cow or goat from several days before and than they invite the sacrificer, so the ta’mirul and also the society put the cow on the hole and hold it. The function of hole is as the place of blood. So for the sacrifice take the big knife and pray firstly before sacrifice. Then after pray the sacrifiser sacrifices the cow or the goat. After sacrifice the cow or goat, so the ta’mirul divide the meat as same as possible and packing it, then divide the packing of the meat to all of the society who are waiting for it. Then they go back to their own house.

Idul adha is a big celebration for the Moslems. They always celebrated it in julhijah 10. Julhijah is one of months in Islam calendar. The history why the Moslem always celebrated Idul Adha every month because, long time ago, Ibrahim got e command from Allah to cut his son, Ismail. But he very confused because one side he very love his son, but the other side he had to did what Allah said because he do believe to Allah. He told to Ismail what made he sad. Ismail could understand and he ready. In a field, Ibrahim cut Ismail’s neck by close eyes. But the fact Ismail still alive, Allah change him with a sheep.
now the Moslems celebrete it with cut some animals.In idul adha the Moslems pray together in the mosque in the morning.

History and Meaning Idul Adha.
Idul Adha began from story of Ibrahim a.s. When at the time he is a “Nabi” in the world. He is a “Nabi” really patient. After he get married, for a long time he not have child. But he always tries and prays for get child. And one time, Allah SWT give him son have name Ismail and as “Nabi” also. When Ibrahim a.s really love him son, Allah SWT give him test with must slice Ismail a.s. With patiently, Ibrahim a.s and him son sincere to follow the command of Allah SWT. When Ibrahim will slice him son, with fast Allah SWT change Ismail a.s with big animal for slice (like cow, ship, goat).

Process of Idul Adha.
First, the people will pray Idul Adha together in Mosque.
Second, their will listen to the lecture about the history of Idul Adha.
Third, the feet of animal will sheaf by a rope, and than to pull the rope until the animal throw down in the land.
Fourth, the leader of Islam was gift competency to slice the animal will be starting to slice, but they are will make a pray to Allah SWT while to slice that.
Fifth, organize of Idul Adha will be continue to slice the parts of animal others until become pieces of meat.
Sixth, organize of Idul Adha will be divide the pieces of meat for the poor people, and the others for the congregation of Mosque.

After “Process” of Idul Adha.
After the process of slice the animal, the people usually shake hands with the others, door to door as the guest, and eating cake and drink some water together while to wait meat mature become the kinds of food like black soup, sate, etc. After all of foods mature, we will eating together.

With the power of Allah, Ismail changed as a sheep.
Every Idul adha, in the morning Moslems usually pray together in the mosque. After that, Moslems cut the animal such as cow, goat, sheep and camel, to celebrated command of Allah to Ibrahim . and after that the animal which a cut is to give every Moslems. And this case to be in every Idul adha.

1. The History And Meaning Of Idul Adha

Idul adha is a big celebration day of Muslim and usually after Idul Fitri. Usually in Idul Adha, we sacrifice the cow or goat because in the last time it has history about Nabi Ibrahim. Nabi Ibrahim has a son, and his name is Ismail. One night nabi Ibrahim was dreaming, and in his dream, Allah commanded Nabi Ibrahim to sacrifice the son, and Ismail sincere to following the command. And than Allah change with a big sheep before Nabi Ibrahim sacrificed the son, because Allah knew how high the love to Allah. So, Idul Adha has meaning to closed themselves to Allah and sense of sincerity to receive the test from Allah SWT. And usually Idul Adha, the people change the sheep with cow or goat for sacrifice

2. Process Of Idul Adha

The process of Idul Adha, we went to the mosque for pray. After pray we listened the religious discourse. After praying in Idul Adha, usually has a process of sacrifice the cow or goat. The Ta’mirul (Ta’mirul means the organized of mosque) is sacrificed the cow or goat, and the Ta’mirul will be divided the some meat to poor people.

3. After Process

After we pray in the mosque, we back to the home and visited in other family, neighbors, and friends to forgive each other mistakes while we shake hand to keep the friendship. Beside it we eat the cake or eat meat together with our family, neighbors, friends etc.

3 Idul Adha

Idul Adha is a Muslim celebration. The history is in the night when Ibrahim slept. He had a dream from Allah ( God ) if he must sacrifice his son. When he woke up he told his son if he has a dream from God. Ismail say to his father that he sincere if his father will sacrifice him for God. When Ibrahim will sacrifice the son for God, he close his eyes because he is very sad. After Ibrahim sacrifice the son he does not know that he did not sacrifice his son but sheep. God changing the son with sheep because Ibrahim and Ismail sincere with God command.

In this day the all of Muslim in the world will celebrate this day. We will pray ( Sholat Ied ) together in court. After pray we shake hand and forgive the other people mistake. After that the sacrificer will sacrifice the animals like sheep, goat, cow, or camel. Before the sacrificer will sacrifice the animals, He must perform such ablutions and say “ BISMILLAHIRRAHMANIRRAHIM “ and must face to direction of Mecca. That is the rule of the sacrifice. The sacrificer will sacrifice the animal in throat. The reason why the sacrifcer must sacrifice the animals in the throat is, because in the throat has pipe of breathing and pipe of food. If we sacrifice in here, it can make easier the death of animals.After the man who sacrifice the animals, we will give the meet for poor people.

History and meaning of Idul Adha
Idul adha is celebration day in Muslim .Usually, this celebration is after Idul Fitri. The specific of celebration is to sacrifice the cow or goat.
We sacrifice the cow or goat because in the past time there is history about Nabi Ibrahim. He has a son and his name is Ismail . And one night Nabi Ibrahim has a dream is Allah asking him to sacrifice his son to know how high the love to Allah . So, Ibrahim talks to his son about his dream and then Ismail sincere to follow that dream because Allah knows they’ resincere , so Allah changes Ismail with the big sheep .from that day all of Muslim always sacrifice the sheep ,cow ,or goat every Idul Adha .


Process of Idul Adha
After finished to pray ,usually many people always do something ,e.g. eat together , visit to neighbor or something like that .And the last , start of sacrifice the cow , or goat .

Idul Adha is one of big celebration in Islam after Idul Fitri, Idul Adha is to celebrate when the Moslem will do the sacrificed of the cow. In the history it is like Ibrahim and his child in Ibrahim dream, He has a dream that the God is asking him to sacrifice his son (Ismail). But when he will sacrifice his Ismail, Ismail was changed with a goat. Before that he asks to Ismail about his dream and Ismail sincere to do it.

Now, we just sacrificed a cow every Idul Adha. Before the process of sacrificed the Moslem will pray and hear the khotbah (similar to a pastor). And after that we come back home to show the process of sacrificed the cow. Before the cow will be sacrificed by the sacrificer the sacrificer will pray. In the process of sacrificed, there are seven or more man (moral society) is hold the cow so that the cow don’t run away, the sacrificer is use a big knife to sacrificed the cow.

And after the cow was sacrificed, the ta’mirul divides the meat to our neighbors especially the poor people. The ta’mirul has to divide the meat to the poor people, because they must receive that.
